South Africans, have you ever made a fool of yourself speaking one of our many languages thinking that ....?

Lol Cakes jy het my nou in stiches ne.When we came to the UK more then 10 years ago me and my hubby were on the underground,and I was commenting about the behavior of some of the young guys,nogal in Afrikaans,when this one guy turned around and said to me:"Tannie praat jy van ons"? oh hell I felt like the earth could swallow me,but that's the way of life and yes I agree with you some people are very rude to other people's culture,I worked in a hospital here in the UK,there were a South African Dr and Nurse and me so sometimes we got together and than you get so a**rehole that comes p and want to report us for speaking in Afrikaans cause they cannot understand us,hell man I'm proud to be an expat South African,but I find it's this up your nose expat South Africans that refuse to speak their own lingo,here have a STAR AND i WISH YOU AND YOUR lOVED ONE'S A WONDERFULL AND SUCCSESFULL 2008!!!!!
