Why don't the US soldiers in Iraq wear short sleeves and less baggage to improve their view?

I'm just saying? why? is it just cuz it was the Vietnam war and they thought that showing some muscles will scare the enemy? I mean think of it in Vietnam it was the pacific and it rained there! its no more hotter than the middle east? the middle east receive no rain and it's definitely a hell if I was to work there with Teflon suit and heavy equips! its waay hotter and how can you move with all those shinanigans with you? thats why soldiers are getting shot because I know how it must be like to be with all that stuff and heat, the "terrorists" (excuse me if I use the term) I think is more efficient because they can move faster but without armor, and why does armor even matter if you get shot still?
